Welcome to Valley Village

Tucked between Studio City, North Hollywood, and Sherman Oaks, Valley Village is a charming, community-driven neighborhood in the heart of Los Angeles’ San Fernando Valley. With tree-lined streets, mid-century and modern homes, and a warm, tight-knit vibe, it's a hidden gem that's increasingly in demand.

I first lived in Valley Village over 20 years ago when I moved to the Valley, and I can tell you—it felt like home from day one. There’s a unique energy here: peaceful, friendly, and deeply rooted in LA's cultural and residential history.

A Brief History of Valley Village

While the neighborhood was established in the 1930s, Valley Village officially received recognition in 1991 with the installation of blue neighborhood markers by the City of Los Angeles. The Valley Village Homeowners Association, formed in 1986, remains a strong voice advocating for the community's needs and charm.

Homes here reflect the neighborhood’s evolution. Traditional 3- and 4-bedroom ranch-style homes sit alongside contemporary new builds. You'll also find a growing number of condos and townhomes—ideal for first-time buyers or downsizers.

Why Live in Valley Village?

Convenience + Quiet
Located just minutes from major freeways (101, 134, and 170), the Metro Red Line, and major studios like CBS and Universal, Valley Village offers the best of both worlds: a peaceful, walkable neighborhood with easy access to LA’s major hubs.

🌿 Green, Leafy Streets
Despite many streets lacking sidewalks, it’s common to see families and neighbors strolling under mature trees, chatting with passersby, and enjoying the laid-back, suburban energy.

🛍️ Local Lifestyle
You’re close to trendy cafes, artisan bakeries, and grocery staples. Favorite local spots include Joe Coffee, Lala’s Argentine Grill, The Oak & Vine, and Blu Jam Café on Ventura.

🕍 Diverse, Inclusive Community
The area is home to several Synagogues (Reform, Conservative, and Orthodox), creating a rich cultural and religious fabric for those seeking a connected, walkable Jewish community.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Great for Families
Strong public and private schools, a sense of safety, and an engaged community make this an ideal place to raise a family.
